like a dollar bill to put things into perspective. This
sweet little boy really stands out amoung all his black sibblings. He is a loud little one and eats like a pig! Being the only blue puppy in the litter made this boy so special.
I want to say a very BIG THANK YOU TO EACH FAMILY who has taken one of the puppies into their hearts and homes. I feel very blessed to have found such caring, loving and responsible homes for each puppy. I look forward to many visits, puppy sitting and lots of pictures and updates. I feel that I have not lost a puppy but gained a new cluster of treasured extended family and I am grateful for each of you~!~
Nemo is our sleepy head boy. He seems to be content to lay and sleep when everyone else is squirming around all over the place. He can sleep in any position and even when everyone is climbing allover him. If I had to guess right now I would say he is going to be the more laid back puppy in the litter. He makes me want to take a nap when I look at how calm and peaceful he appears!
Sabastian sleeps in some of the strangest places. He loves to lay with his neck in an upward positon and in the corner of the covers. He is a squirmy boy and can smell his mommy a mile away!
This was such a special moment. Keepa went outside to play for a bit and Ariel escaped~!~ Grandma Precious (who has wanted the puppies for herself from day one) quickly herded Ariel up, cleaned her bottom and face and tried to nurse her! Ariel was content to stay with Grandma and never made a sound. Precious was really dissappointed when I had to put Ariel back and bring Keepa inside. When the puppies get a little older they will spend more time with Precious as well as their Dad Flame and our other Aussies.
This is our Granddaughter Kirsten and Simba on March 21, 2004. Kirsten was allowed to hold him for a few minutes and she adores the puppies. Kirsten is learning at at the age of 2 that you must treat all animals with love and care. Please remember to always supervise any young child with animals. Teach them kindness and respect
Abu is our fast thinker of the group. He is going to be a real smart boy. (he gets that as well as his looks from his Grandma). He was the first to figure out how to escape. Pictured below he finds a pasy and knows what to do with it!
Black tri boy with a cute blaze and copper trim
4 white feet. He will be called Simba!
Really nice dark copper eye brows and a darling face.
Simba (picture to the right)
has what appears to be a
beautiful black long handled
mustache! His brother Nemo has it too!
He is such a handsome boy! He has loads of
dark copper trim and likes to
be cuddled!
The picture of Nemo to the right of this was taken at 26 days old. He has the most beautiful head! He does not sleep as much anymore and has a wonderful friendly outgoing personality. He and SIMBA look almost like twins! They were born one right after the other. Check out the pictures of Simba and see if you can tell the difference in these handsome boys!
Black tri boy who looks just like grandma Precious. That alone will make this little one very special .He has 4 white feet and white down his neck and chest. We are thinking ABU for this boy for one of the characters from Aladdin. His grandma is called Precious Boo so ABU goes along well with that.
Simba weighs the most of all the puppies. At 5 weeks he weighs 7.5 pounds. He has the look of a show dog. I did not do such a great job of stacking him in the below picture but will get one of him self stacking soon. He has a wonderful personality. Very friendly yet kind of gentle a way. He loves to be held and have his tummy and chest rubbed. He will turn his head or come running when I call his name. He is a tank of a boy and has a very blocky build. He has an adorable face that just makes you want to scoop him up and cover it in kisses!
Abu shows off his black spots in the roof of his
mouth. Some say that the black spots show
herding instinct. I can say that all my dogs that
do have the black spots are capable of herding
!His sister Tinkerbell seems to be checking out
his instincts! Abu is the thinker in the group
.He is so much like his grandma Precious.
He thinks about everything before reacting.
Unless I miss my mark on this one I think he
is going to be a very smart boy. He is not has
"busy" as the rest of the puppies but not too
laid back either. He is by far the smartest
puppy in many ways. He now whines or barks
to get out of the whelping box when he needs
to go stinky. He will yell till I take him out because he does not want to potty where he has to lay down! Too smart for a 5 week old boy. He also has a personality very similar to grandma. He will be a VERY loyal people oriented dog. Most likely (as is with his grandma) he will not even consider himself a dog. Precious believes she is a person and acts the part most of the time. Abu already will bark when a stranger walks into the room, would rather be with me or any other member of the family than with his littermates. He loves his brothers and sisters and plays well with them but you can just tell he would rather be with people. He will often follow me away from them when they are playing. He also entertains himself a lot of the time. He will go get a toy and quietly go somewhere and play for a long time all by himself. I think he is going to be a dog who lives to please his people. He likes to cuddle, gives wonderful kisses and can be rather silly at times .He will sometimes whimper when I leave the room cause he wants to be near me. He does have the least white trim of the litter. In other words he is the plainest marked puppy but he is still adorable. He looks like a little fuzzy black bear! He has a white chest and 4 white feet and copper on his legs, and face. He normally comes when I call him already too. He will need to be well socialized to keep him from being too over protective of his family (who he will adore). With lots of meeting family and friends this will not be a problem. He will live to please his owner and should do well in any area that he is taught. He should not need a real firm hand because he already wants to please. This little boy (although plain in color) really stands out in temperament. If I did not already have 2 black boys this would be the puppy I would be keeping here on the farm. I have never had a better dog than his grandma Precious and unless I am wrong he is going to be very similar to her. She is by far the greatest dog I have ever dreamed of having.
Sabastian is a beautiful puppy! He has a nice big full white collar, big blue eyes and struts like a rooster! He has just a tiny touch of copper on his back legs and eye brows but it is very light.
His markings and structure are VERY STRIKING!!!!!!!!!!
The conformation of each of these puppies is excellent.
I think he knows he is the only blue puppy around....lol.....
He likes to snuggle and gives lots of wet kisses. Make sure to check the other page to see his picture when he wandered into the pig ear bag! Pictured below at 5 weeks old playing with Mommy.
At 5 weeks old Sabastian is starting to develop his own little personality. He now weighs 6 pounds and his structure is very correct. He is the only puppy in the litter without any black inside the roof of his mouth. He loves to play almost as much as he likes to eat! He seems pretty middle of the road as far as his temperament is concerned right now. He is not too busy or hyper and not lazy. He loves toys and lying on the cold tile floor to cool his little pink belly! He is going to have a lot of hair like his mommy. He color is striking and his blue eyes are so pretty. Sabastian so far seems to be pretty easy going and not too busy. He loves to play and loves all the toys. Before the puppies were born I went and spent almost 50.00 just on toys for them. They have enough that they could play with something different each day. I will be sending a toy home with each puppy and plan to watch to see which ones are their favorites. Sabastian has ton of fur and is so soft and fluffy! More to come soon about this beautiful little boy.
At 5 weeks Nemo weighs 6.25 pounds. He is SO handsome. He has a look that just captures your heart. He is a cuddle boy and loves to be held and rubbed. He plays really good with the other puppies and is not overbearing at all. He seems to like to spend as much time as possible with his mommy and just got to start playing with Aunt Lacy. She really adores these puppies almost as much as Keepa. Keepa and Lacy are best buddies and Keepa has allowed Lacy to spend more time with the puppies. If I had to guess right now I would say Nemo is going to be a very loyal sweet dog who loves to be near his owners all the time. He does settle down well and loves his naps but plays hard when he plays. He is going to be a softer natured boy and should not require a hard hand in training. He is going to be extremely willing to please and should do very well as long as his new owners are fair and he knows just what they expect. He wants to badly to be my dog. He follows me everywhere and lays on my feet when I sit down. (unless he is climbing on my legs wanting me to pick him up to cuddle)
He has a beautiful striking head, scissor bite and excellent structure. This means that he could possibly do well in conformation if his new family decides they want to pursue that with him.
Here at Heavensown we are starting something new with our puppy families. See the litter page soon to read about our NEW incentives to get active with your puppy which we will be posting soon.
:"SIMBA" has a new name!
He is now Heavensown Yeager Clutter!
Yeager now lives with his new Mommy and Daddy near Charleston where he can run and play on the BEACH! What a lucky! Lori and Mike have plans to show Yeager in Conformation, agility and maybe some other performance events. I know they will do great things with this wonderful boy and we look forward to seeing them more in the near future!
Abu has a new special home with Susan and John Roberts. Susan and John already have one of our puppies from a litter 2.5 years ago. Alya now has a new brother to keep her busy on their beautiful family farm in the NC mountains!
9 Weeks old
Sebastian who is now a member of the Trible family is now known as TUCKER.
Debra and Paul flew in from Blue Grass Virginia to our small local air strip to pick up Tucker a couple of weeks ago. These pictures of Debra taken when she first got to see Tucker are so touching to me. Her excitment and joy brought so much happiness for me. This is what makes all that laundry and late nights worth every minute! Tucker is doing great in his new home on the Trible farm and goes everywhere with Debra and the kids. He has far out weighted all their expectiations for the "perfect puppy". We can hardly wait to get the pictures in the mail of the boys with Tucker and his lab friend to add to the web site. A warm THANK YOU to the Trible family for loving this boy as I have.
Tucker just prior to catching his flight with his new mom and dad.
We feel it is vital to socialize all Aussies. We start the process before our puppies every leave to go to their new homes. Most go to at least one softball game (pictured to the right), go to the vet, visit a professional trainer to test temperament and numerous other outings. This helps the puppy get accustomed to different people and social environments at an early age. It is a lot of extra work but we believe it shows in the outstanding disposition of out puppies.
11 Weeks old
Nemo is now SPENCER and lives with Joe and Jennifer in Atlanta.
Abu is now "Heavensown Brother Bear" and lives with John, Susan and Ayla (a Precious puppy from our litter 2.5 years ago) in the NC mountains. Brother Bear could not have found a more loving perfect home! We are thrilled that John and Susan have this special little boy on their huge farm in the Beautiful Smokey Mountains.
Susan has already achieved 2 agility titles with Ayla and has big plans for Brother Bear to join the fun soon and when he is older will be able to do the jumps. For now he is enjoying going everywhere with Susan and Ayla and hiking in the mountains. See Susans comments below about his progress!
"Brother Bear is doing great! He knows SIT and DOWN and come pretty well. I am learning to separate the dogs to train him.
We went swimming in a cold river last week and I sat two towels in a chair beside the river. Brother Bear got cold and crawled on his own up into the chair and under the towels. It was amazing that he new what towels are and that they are warm. He is so smart!
Brother went on his first backpacking trip this weekend! He did really well except one time he ran off and we couldn't find him for a few minutes. I think he was either scared or using the bathroom. Sometimes he seems scared and others not even fazed. Its amazing to see the differences in the two dog's personalities. I guess it will be this way with my babies as well. I didn't think it was a big deal though, him running off. Anyway it we had such a wonderful time. He got to sleep on my pillow in the tent. It was a great trust building exercise. He would stop before a step rock or drop off and wait for me to carry him, or I would go up the rock and encourage him to try an easier way!! The woods is a great place to train dogs! He would follow Ayla down the trail and stop and look back to see if I was coming.
I am starting to work on WAIT and STAY with him. Also I have started training him for Agility. He follows my hand with food and runs beside me nicely. We have a tunnel at the house and he loves that, plus he jumped over some wood on the ground. I think he will be very agile like Ayla. He runs up and down the stairs now with out even falling! " Susan
