Below are the links to our area rescue reps.
We have a very close relationship with each of our puppy buyers. After all they are raising our "Grand-dogs"...
Every card, picture, email, visit, and update brings us such a blessing as we learn of the progress of each of puppy and their new family. We have been very fortunate to place our puppies in wonderful loving homes where our puppies are thought of as new family members.
It is our sincere interest in you and that you are a successful pet owners! We are also always available to puppy sit or offer advise at any time we are needed.
Please understand that we are always cautious where our babies go and try to place them in the best possible homes. We get to know our potential puppy buyers very well, and we have our puppies professionally evaluated which helps us match them with their new family.
Our puppies are so special to us and we pray for Gods wisdom that he will send the right homes for our little ones.

We believe all Breeding should be well thought out and done in a responsible manner. We are trying to preserve the herding instinct and moderate size that is stated in the ASCA standard. We do our best to assure as healthy a puppy as possible and do health testing
(hip and eye certification as well as a complete pedigree health research is completed)
on any Aussie that is used for breeding.
We do limited showing with our dogs (not as often as we once did due to serious chronic illness) in conformation and encourage other people who have traditional moderate Aussies to do the same. Due to health problems I am no longer physically able to show my dogs in conformation myself but now have someone who will be taking them back into the ring when time allows. We have been doing some therapy dog work at a local nursing home as well as training several of our dogs in obedience. I am very blessed to have a service dog who became such out of instinct and an accute sence of my needs and not training.
Lacy (Heavensown Leather and Lace) my beautiful red merle girl (out of our foundation girl Precious)is able to detect when my blood pressure and blood sugar bottoms out before I pass out. She paws on my and will whine until I sit down to keep me from falling. She is so very special and has saved me from MANY black eyes and bruises since she picked up on my health problems.
We have also started in Agility (we have an indoor agility course), we also work stock here on the farm with our Aussie's!
It is such a beautiful sight to see a Aussie rounding up stock, fetching cattle and loving every minute of the task at hand. We feel very blessed to have that opportunity here on the farm and fortunate to have Aussie's that still have the instinct to do herding work when asked. Check out our herding page to see our dogs working here on the farm.
We sell our puppies with a health guarantee and pet puppies are sold with a spay/neuter contract for the protection of the breed. So many Aussie's are already in Rescue and are often a product of irresponsible breeding or mistakes. Female dogs who are spayed also have a less chance of developing ovarian cancer.
We also feel very strong about people taking a look into rescue as these dogs need wonderful loving homes. Links to Rescue are located at the top of this page and we work with ARPH doing foster care and anything else we can when needed.
We do occasional breeding and to keep our lines going. In the 14+ years of having these wonderful dogs we have only had 4 litters and one single birth. We believe that quality should far out weighs quality when breeding. We spend lots of time with each puppy born here at Heavensown and feel that proper early socialization cannot be stressed enough when raising pups. Email us if you want more information about all the fun tthings we do to prepare our pups for their new homes.
We get to know each family extremely well before they ever get one of our puppies and are fortunate that we have excellent extended family type relationships with most of them. We care about our puppies from the time they are born throughout their entire life and keep in touch as they grow and progress. Do not contact us if you never want to here from us after the puppy sale....lol.... It does not work like that with when you get one of our Aussie kids!
Our goal is to breed for healthy puppies that make excellent family companions and excel in various areas with the following qualities in mind:
(who is one of our Precious sons out of her fist litter born in 1998.
Flame is OFA Good, eyes cerf and cleared yearly. He is such a wonderful boy.
Flame is out of our girl Precious who is our foundation dam.
Keepa is out of Blue Isles dual Champions the late great Blue Isles Manly Man and London Mist. Keepa is OFA Good, eyes cerf and cleared yearly. Email me if you have questions. The cross produced very intelligent, correct beautiful puppies that are adored by their owners.
Both Keepa and Flame are a dream to live with and have exceptional dispositions. For more information on Keepa and Flame check out the boys and girls pages on our site.
We did this breeding for the first time on March 17, 2003 and we were blessed to have 7 healthy puppies born on May 16, 2003.
We were so thrilled with this cross that we have just repeated this breeding from last spring. Puppies were born on March 4, 2004.
Would you consider a older puppy or young adult Aussie from a reputable breeder OR INDIVIDUAL RESCUE? We may have a older puppy or young adult available and do some rescue on our own too. We often get Aussies from shelters or stays that we get fully vetted and offer for adoption....AND We are members of the Carolina Australian Shepherd Club and in contact with other reputable breeders in this area who may have a young adult or older puppy available. The advantages here are so many!
These young dogs often are house broke, have some obedience training and are no longer TEETHING!
This section holds links to our previous Precious litters. We are very proud of each puppy and the families that share their lives. We feel very blessed for the many friendships that have become extended family because of these wonderful pups and their owners. Can you tell we are just a wee bit proud of our "Grand-dogs"? I hope you can take time to look at the pictures and read the stories of how much these Precious pups have added to the lives of the people that share their love and devotion.

What we believe in regarding breeding
The section below has links to all of our previous litters and some recent pictures of our Granddogs who we are so proud of! We are blessed to have our pups in such wonderful homes and we appreciate each family who has one our grandkids!
We are planning a late Summer 2008 litter for "Boots". Heavensown Walk This Way.
This will be her first litter. She is OFA Good and a wonderful and beautiful dog.
Very smart with a somewhat cocky outgoing attitude. VBG :)
She is a stunning black tri with inky black color complimented by a full bright white collar, 4 white feet, white front legs and deep dark rich copper trim. She is possibly red factored but I do not think the dog I am planning to breed her to is so there may not be any reds in the litter...not sure just yet.
We charge 600.00 for pet puppies which will be registerable with AKC and ASCA. If approved as a home for one of the grand dogs you would also get a health guarantee/warranty in your spay/neuter contract. Registration is marked as limited which only means the dog you get does not have breeding rights and should it be breed the offspring would not be registerable.
If you interested in learning more, getting an application or coming to meet Boots and the rest of the gang here at Heavensown please just let me know. We would be happy to have you come visit us. If you are looking for a show, agility, herding or obedience prospect we may be able to help you with a puppy from this litter at a different price point and altered contract. We do not sell our show/breeding prospects very often and you would need excellent refrences for one of those pups. (Including one from your vet).
We also do rescue work and if your not interested in a puppy with registration papers we may be able to help you with that also. We just saved a older puppy (around 5-7 months old) from the gas chamber this past week at a NC shelter. She is a wonderful little girl and SO very smart. Email us for more information about any of the above. We will start taking deposits for the Summer litter the end of March or first of April. Pups are reserved and deposits accepted on what we feel will be the best possible homes.
Thanks for considering a Aussie from Heavensown and God bless you! We hope to meet you soon!
